The Fiji opposition leader, Ro Teimumu Kepa, says it is a shame that this week's Youth Parliament has not been televised.
She says the performance of the youth parliamentarians gives her hope for the future.
Ro Teimumu says the would be MPs were impressive and delivered their points with passion and sincerity.
She says she only wished some government ministers and staff had attended along the opposition MPs to hear the voices of Fiji's youth.
Ro Teimumu says while she has deep concerns about Fiji's stalled democracy, the performance of the youth parliamentarians gives her hope.
She says the Youth Parliament should be a permanent fixture to prepare future leaders.
And she says not televising the event was an opportunity lost.
