Vanuatu's Ground and Justice Party has won five seats in the Sanma province elections.

Previously the party, which is just three years old, had managed just one seat in the provincial parliament.
The Vanu'aaku Pati and the Union of Moderate Parties both got three seats.
Just 56 percent of the 25,000 registered voters took part in the poll.
