The Fiji Sevens team believe they're the best in the world and are increasingly confident of turning that potential into an Olympic gold medal.

Fiji won the 2014/15 World Sevens Series and are currently on track for a successful title defence.

The Melanesian country has never won an Olympic medal but the introduction of sevens in Rio presents a unique opportunity for the rugby-mad nation.

Head coach Ben Ryan was appointed three years ago with the task of leading Fiji to Olympic gold.

He said every decision this season has been about ensuring Fiji are at their best in Brazil.
