The FRU CEO, John O'Connor, acknowledged that the players faced a great challenge considering that some of them and their families were affected by Cyclone Winston.

Head coach Ben Ryan said the competition for places in training has been excellent and the new caps deserve their chance.

"Both have done particularly well - Josh and Masi have been outstanding for the last two weeks and give us some real go-forward on either side of the field, as a forward and an out-and-out winger in Josh's case. It's been a tough few days for everybody in Fiji and we're hoping to do our little bit to raise some smiles across the nation over the next two weeks."
