Tuvalu gives big donation to Fiji disaster fund

Fiji's prime minister Frank Bainimarama has received US$168,000 dollars from Tuvalu to help the country's recovery from Cyclone Winston.

The donation was handed over by Tuvalu's prime minister, Enele Sopoaga, on Monday.

It will go into the prime minister's National Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Fund.

The money included US$7,000 dollars raised in a two-week-long public appeal in Tuvalu.
