Vanuatu's prime minister, Charlot Salwai, says repairs to the chiefs' nakamal in Port Vila should begin soon.
He has told parliament US$260,000 dollars will be made available for the repairs.
The chiefs' nakamal was damaged during Cyclone Pam in March last year.
The nakamal is often visited by tourists wanting a glimpse of a traditional meeting house.
