The editor in chief of the Samoa Observer, Savea Sano Malifa, has been confirmed as the legal holder of Gato'aitele paramount title.
The title, which was bestowed on Savea in a traditional royal ceremony nearly three years ago, has now been registered in court.
This follows legal battles which were settled through mediation.
The Gato'aitele is equally in line with Samoa's other paramount titles such as Malietoa and Tamasese.
