Reports from Fiji say a vessel reported to be drifting for most of yesterday arrived safely at its destination last night.
The MV Princess Civa left Lakeba in the southern Lau group for Kabara yesterday morning.
It was carrying church members who were to due to attend a meeting on the island about 80 kilometres further south.
The Fiji Sun reports the Maritime Surveillance Centre has confirmed the vessel arrived safely in Kabara yesterday evening after suspected engine problems.
The paper reports the vessel, which was converted from a fishing boat to a cargo and passenger vessel, services the islands in the Lau Group.
