One 30 kilometre stretch is nearly finished with sealing of the road from Whitesands to Lenakel Blackman Town to Green Hill.

The minister, who is from the Whitesands area, which suffered extensive damage during Cyclone Pam one year ago, says he will shortly go to China for talks on the next stage of their aid project.

A total of US$50 million dollars is being spent on roads around Vanuatu with the completion date still five years away.
