A court case against Ha'apai's noble representative to the Tongan parliament has been adjourned until next Tuesday.

Lord Tu'iha'ateiho is charged with assault, unlawful possession of ammunition, killing or maiming an animal, and causing disturbance in Ha'ateiho.

Matangi Tonga reports he was initially expected to appear at the Nuku'alofa Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Lord Tu'iha'ateiho was arrested last Wednesday at his home after a search warrant was used.

He was released on bail.
