New Zealand television initiative Pasifika TV has been launched in Solomon Islands.
The initiative involves eight hours of sports, news, current affairs and documentaries relayed free to air on local broadcaster Telekom Television.
At the launch last night the Solomon Islands Minister of Communication and Aviation, Peter Shanel Agovaka, said the government welcomed the initiative announced by the New Zealand Prime Minister last year.
