A national clean-up campaign has been launched in Fiji in the wake of Cyclone Winston.

The prime minister Frank Bainimarama announced the Clean Up Fiji initiative yesterday. .

He also promoted a new slogan - Fight the Bite - alerting people to the threat of mosquitoe-borne diseases.

People are being urged to clean up breeding sites and cover themselves to avoid diseases like dengue, chikungunya and Zika.
