1:55 pm on 17 May 2016

Vanuatu have selected a full-strength squad for this month's Oceania Nations Cup in Papua New Guinea and have set their sights on a semi final finish in Port Moresby.

Head coach Moise Poida has confirmed his 23-man line-up, including 18 locally-based players and five who play their trade offshore, in Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and New Caledonia.

"Everybody's in top form and no one is injured at the moment. We just had Bill Nicholls from New Caledonia just arrive yesterday (Sunday) to join the squad - he's the last one to join the team. We have 23 players all together - everybody's in Vanuatu at the moment so we have ten days left before we leave next Wednesday to Papua New Guinea."

Moise Poida said the focus over the next week and a half will be on forming a common understanding of good strategy.

He said they're in a tough pool, alongside Solomon Islands, Fiji and favourites New Zealand but they believed in themselves and think they can qualify for the semi finals.
