Auckland's premier sports ground, Eden Park, will next month play host to a conference on renewable energy.
The Pacific Energy Conference follows on from a summit on renewable energy held in Auckland in 2013.
Co-hosted by New Zealand and the European Union, it will focus on investment opportunities to increase renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy access in the Pacific.
In the three years since the summit the Pacific has made significant progress implementing renewable energy initiatives, with over 50 of the 79 projects put forward now completed or underway.
But in a media release the EU says more has to be done.
It says many communities across the region are still without access to reliable energy.
