The seventh Queen's Representative to the Cook Islands, Tom Marsters, has been reappointed for another three years.
The second term for Mr Marsters, who was first appointed as the QR in 2013 taking over from Sir Frederick Goodwin, came into effect earlier this week.
Mr Marsters, a 69 year-old who was born on Palmerston Island, was elected to Parliament in 1991, later becoming deputy Prime Minister.
He resigned from Parliament to take up the Queen's Representative role.
