In a ruling yesterday, the court dismissed the claims against Hocog in his personal and official capacities in connection with the lawsuit filed by former Department of Public Lands secretary John DelRosario

The court determined that Hocog's conduct was covered by the constitutional doctrine of legislative immunity.

A lawsuit by a Japanese investor, claiming that Hocog and his family failed to pay a loan of $US3.4 million to purchase the controversial M/V Luta is still pending in court.
