Two charged in Fiji after bullets found on yacht

Fiji police say two people have been charged following the discovery of bullets on board a yacht at Vuda Marina last week.

The Police Chief of Intelligence and Investigations ACP Biu Matavou told Fiji Village a Lautoka businessman and one other person have been charged under the Arms and Ammunition Act.

The two men are due to appear in the Lautoka Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Mr Matavou also told Fiji Village a third suspect who was taken into custody at the weekend is still being questioned.

He told FBC News the ammunition was found in the boat registered under the name of the businessman who owns a pharmacy in Lautoka city.

The pharmacy was raided last Friday.
