The 26- and 28-year-olds were arrested on New Year's Eve for drunk and disorderly behaviour in Lorengau.

The two asylum seekers had accused police of mistreatment when arresting them.

PNG Loop reports that in the Lorengau court on Wednesday, Senior Magistrate Josephine Nidu issued the warrant after the pair failed to appear.

Meanwhile, three refugees arrested on 2 January pleaded guilty to charges of drunkenness, but not guilty to charges of resisting arrest.

They were granted bail ahead of their next court appearance on Friday.
