The vice speaker of the Northern Marianas House of Representatives wants a 5-percent tax on gambling revenues.
Janet Maratita has introduced a bill to impose the tax.
She said the gaming industry is largely un-taxed and it is about time it was taxed in a fair and reasonable manner.
