The event attracted about 400 people and raised about $US5000 which will be given to the Red Cross.

Artists to perform included the Tahiti Show de Theo as well as singers from New Caledonia and the French Antilles.

The event was attended by visiting French Polynesian politicians like Oscar Temaru and Marcel Tuihani.

The floods destroyed or damaged hundreds of homes in Tahiti and Moorea, and damaged infrastructure.

The French High Commission says the $US320000 released in emergency funds have been spent.
