The PNG cricket team are fighting to stay in their four day Intercontinental Cup match against United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi.

The Papua New Guinea cricket team are fighting to stay in their four day Intercontinental Cup match against United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi.

Stumps were drawn on day three with the Baramundis 152 for 4, trailing the hosts by 95 runs.

Sese Bau and Lega Siaka have combined for 46 runs so far, Siaka unbeaten on 51.

Earlier on day three UAE resumed on 299/6 before finally declaring on 441, thanks to by centuries to Muhammad Usman and Saqlain Haider.

Mahuru Dai was the pick of the PNG bowlers, toiling away for figures of 4/126 off 52.3 overs.

The match is part of the Round 5 of the Intercontinental Cup.

Currently PNG is in fourth place on the ICC ICUP Standings, while UAE are in eighth position.
