Okesene Alo was one of four public safety officers arrested last month.
The others are facing drugs charges.
Mr Alo, who was being held in custody, face a total of 35 counts, including 10 counts of rape involving a minor of 16 years old or younger, eight alleged drugs offences and six of aiding or permitting the escape of a prisoner.
