A sightseeing plane in the Northern Marianas has made an emergency landing at a Saipan golf course.
The pilot of the Piper Cherokee Cruiser heard a bang shortly after take-off on Saipan and immediately radioed the airport control tower that he will be making an emergency landing.
The Marianas Air Transfer plane then landed at the Laolao Bay Golf and Resort in Kagman as a charity golf tour tournament was winding down.
The pilot and his two passengers were not harmed.
Police and Commonwealth Ports Authority officers secured the site until National Transportation Board and Federal Aviation Administration investigators flew in.
