The Fiji Under 20 rugby captain is under no illusions how tough his team's game against Australia will be this evening.

The teams will meet in the second round of the Oceania championships on the Gold Coast.

Fiji enter the clash off the back of a 63-3 thumping from New Zealand while Australia outclassed Samoa 43-20 in the first round on Friday.

A young Fijian team struggled with the pace and skill of the New Zealanders and their captain Temo Sukayawa Mayanavanua said the challenge won't be any easier today.

"We have seen our weaknesses, we are just trying to work on our weaknesses and see from there," he said.

"We all know that Australia is the home side and we will be expecting that Australia will be a hard match. It's their home soil, they wouldn't want to lose on their home soil."

Samoa will play New Zealand in the early game at the Bond University ground.
