Papua New Guinea and Samoa have set up a winner-takes-all decider after contrasting victories in the penultiumate round of the Women's World T20 - East Asia-Pacific Cricket Qualifier.
The PNG Lewas piled on 155 for 6 batting first, with Tanya Ruma and Sibona Jimmy adding 64 runs for the opening wicket.
Sibona Jimmy also did the damage with the ball, taking 4 for 13 from three overs as Japan were dismissed for 63 in the 14th over.
Meanwhile Lagi Otila Telea took the tournament's first five wicket haul (5-14) as Samoa dismissed Vanuatu for 46 before reaching their target with four wicket to spare.
Samoa remain unbeaten atop the standings but PNG's superior run-rate means whoever wins today's final round clash will advance to the final Women's World Twenty20 Global Qualifier.
