Papua New Guinea Hunters rugby league captain Ase Boas is embracing the added responsibly of leading the Queensland Cup front-runners.
The Port Moresby-based rugby league franchise have won four in a row to draw level on points with the league leading Redcliffe Dolphins.
Boas sliced through the defence for a crucial solo try during last weekend's victory away to the Ipswich Jets and has formed a strong combination in the halves with younger brother Watson Boas, forcing former skipper Israel Eliab into the centres.

The PNG Kumuls international says being handed the captaincy emphasised to him the important of leading by example.
"I try to learn from my mistakes from last year, the previous years, and go through my old videos and try to at least work on the areas where I need improvement," he said.
"That's where I see that I work on it in training and that's why I see a bit of improvement in my game."
Ase Boas also inherited the goalkicking duties this season, following the departure of Noel Zemming, and is second equal in the competition scoring charts.
"I was doing some kicking last year when he was out for injuries but this year I was given the total first-choice kicker so it's a big shoe to fill in."
"When coach gave me the green light to be the first-choice kicker it's another responsibility up on my shoulder as the skipper and then this kicking too."
"Two points in a team is very important too so I try to work hard after training and even during my free times to come and do extras on goal-kicking. That's what's the the outcome you guys see, it's just through practice," he said.
The PNG Hunters are back at home tomorrow afternoon against the sixth-placed Townsville Blackhawks at the National Football Stadium.
