Ommission of provision for elections in Western and Choiseul provinces is reckless, according to a statement today from the opposition group.

It said when there are statutory obligations, to overlook them shows a lack of planning, incompetence and poor budgeting.

It said the opposition raised the matter last year but still there was no correction in the recent supplementary budget.

According to the opposition, the situation must be addressed immediately to avoid any legal problems with the provincial elections due in September this year.
