The projects include two palm oil projects, development of the Bina Harbour Industrial Town, a tuna cannery at Suava, an international harbour and a series of road improvements.

According to the opposition, it was three years since the government unveiled these schemes without any concrete information on progress.

It said the government had claimed some of these projects were on their priority list but that they were proving a major disappointment because of poor planning and lack of political will and commitment.
