Cases of dengue fever in American Samoa are climbing.

The Department of Health epidemiologist Aifili John Tufa says this year's confirmed cases have risen from 130 to 177.
Aifili says there has been an increase in positive blood samples detected by the Hawaii State Laboratory.
He says there have not been any dengue related deaths due to the territory's doctors doing an excellent job.
