The incident occurred in the very north of the territory.

The public prosecutor said a 38-year-old man, who was drunk, has been arrested in connection with the shooting.

Nobody was injured when the bullet went through the classroom door and flew over the children who were sitting at their desks.

The school will be closed on today.

The Northern Province condemned the shooting as unacceptable violence.
