PNG govt to push climate change agenda at APEC

Papua New Guinea Chief Secretary Isaac Lupari says climate change will be at the top of the policy agendas it will push during the 2018 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting.

He said in terms of policy collaboration, commentaries from developed countries like Australia and the Unites States indicated they were doing well.

The National reported Mr Lupari as saying the host country for the APEC summit usually set up the agenda.

He said they will use such opportunities to bring to the attention of the 21 world economies issues like implementing the Paris Agreement on climate change and its importance.
