Samoa will host the next Pacific Week of Agriculture in 2019.

Samoa will also serve as the venue for the second joint Food and Agriculture Organisation and SPC Pacific Ministers of Agriculture and Forestry Meeting
The deputy director general of the Pacific Community, Dr Audrey Aumua, said in the Pacific an average of three percent of national budgets go to the agriculture sector.
Ms Aumua said it was important that food and nutritional security were top of the political agenda in the region.
Vanuatu hosted the inaugural Pacific Week of Agriculture last month.
