The Post Courier reported that the National Court last week ordered an election petition filed by Mr Ninigi in 2012 to be dismissed, and for Mr Ninigi to pay Mr Awasea's legal bills.

Mr Ninigi had challenged Mr Awesa's 2012 victory in the Imbongu Open seat.
