Vanuatu cabinet reshuffled ahead of no confidence motion

There's been a reshuffle of Vanuatu's cabinet ahead of this afternoon's motion of no-confidence against prime minister Charlot Salwai.

It sees the parliament's second biggest party, Graon mo Jastis Pati, securing three senior portfolios.

The party's leader Ralph Regenvanu, has been appointed as the Foreign Minister, vacating the Lands portfolio to which his fellow party member Alfred Maoh has been appointed.

Another Graon mo Jastis MP, Andrew Napuat, has been appointed new Minister of Internal Affairs.

Meanwhile, Gracia Shedrack has been appointed as Minister of Health.

The vote is scheduled for 4pm Vanuatu time.
