The Samoa Observer reported Patu Tiava'asu'e Falefatu Sapolu gave the nod to four parties of the Malietoa family for more time to prepare.

The Land and Titles Court ruled in favour of Papalii Fa'amausili Moli as the next holder of the paramount title of Malietoa just before Christmas.

He's the son of the late Malietoa Tanumafili II.

The Malietoa title had been vacant for a decade since the death of the former Head of State, susuga Malietoa Tanumafili II.

An appeal can be filed or an extension requested within 21 days.

The decision on whether an appeal will be granted is due on February 22.
