The strike was launched this week amid concern that reimbursements had not been adjusted for years, imperiling the clinics' viability.

The three clinics have restricted their services to caring only for patients already admitted.

The maternity wards have stopped accepting women, referring them to the public hospital.

The dispute comes amid concern over the financial state of the public health care system because of its growing deficit.
