The Western Force made it two from two in World Series Rugby after outclassing Tonga A 47-17 in Perth on Sunday.

The home side raced out to a 21-3 lead with three early tries, before Tonga responded with two of their own to reduce the deficit to four points by half-time.

However, the Kingdom were unable to add to their total in the second spell as the Force completed a seven-tries-to-two victory, in front of a crowd of 16,323.

Coach Tim Sampson said Tonga gave them a tough match.

"We got out to a nice lead there and credit to Tonga they came back and made a ball game of it," he said.

"I think after that we responded really well. Something we spoke about this week was remaining composed - we knew this blokes were going to come out a bull to the gate and they did, and they did and I think those first few tries were outstanding."

The Force, who defeated Fiji Warriors 24-14 the previous week, will host the Melbourne Rebels and Crusaders next month before taking on a Samoan selection in July.
