Northern Marianas health authorities have reported a rise in scarlet fever cases on Saipan.
The number of cases of the bacterial infection has risen from only two last year to eight in 2018.
Scarlet fever is by Group A Streptococcus infection.
This is the same type of bacteria that causes Strep throat and affects children between the age of 5 and 15.
Meanwhile, the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation has cleared all romaine lettuce in the Marianas from possible E. coli contamination.

In an advisory, it said it was unlikely that any romaine lettuce from Arizona was still available in people's homes, stores, or restaurants due to its 21-day shelf life.
Earlier E.Coli had been linked to lettuce harvested from Arizona's Yuma growing region.
