Documents related to a Northern Marianas police investigation into an officer who allegedly crashed his car while drunk, seriously injuring his girlfriend, are missing.
In July last year, Dixon Kwon, who was off duty, drove his vehicle into a tree, injuring his girlfriend and passenger Deedra Santos.
He was believed to be intoxicatied.
Mr Kwon allegedly failed to wait at the scene of the accident and failed to provide medical assistance to Ms Santos.
His lawyer revealed the documents were missing in a submission to the Superior Court.
