Women workers are being targeted by Samoa's exporter of the year as the company moves to quadruple its export capacity.

The Samoa Observer reported the general manager of Ah Liki Investments, Asiata Alex Brunt, saying the company is investing in new equipment and adopting new techniques that are better suited to women.

Its subsidiary, Krissy Company, produces canned coconut cream and has also developed canned breadfruit in coconut cream for the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Asiata said in two months, Krissy Company will export to the US market for the first time.

He said he expects income from coconut cream exports to increase up to 35 percent over the next two years.
