Strike forces Air Caledonie to cancel flights

A strike forced New Caledonia's domestic airline to cancel all its flights yesterday.

Air Caledonie said negotiations were about to resume but the schedule might be disrupted for several days.

The carrier's unionised staff said their social contract was not being honoured.

The airline would endeavour to minimise the strike's impact and keep passengers informed, Air Caledonie said.
