Vanuatu residents in Pentecost, near the island of Ambae, now have access to fresh water again after their water sources were polluted with ash.

Parts of both Vanuatu islands were blanketed in ash after the latest eruption of the Manaro volcano on Ambae.
Our Vanuatu correspondent Godwin Ligo, who works with the Daily Post, said the ash made the water situation worse for Pentecost residents who already had limited water due to months of hot, dry weather.
But, he said the National Disaster Management Office was now bringing in fresh water.
"People are getting water back - fresh, healthy water back - for drinking, cooking and washing. This has been happening over the last two weeks or so," Godwin Ligo said.
Godwin Ligo said it has also been raining again, so Pentecost residents are able to collect water, which they can purify.
