Matangi Tonga reported Speaker Lord Fakafanua had initially scheduled the meeting for the House to decide on a way forward regarding a public petition to impeach seven Cabinet Ministers, including the Prime Minister.

However, on Tuesday evening Parliament House confirmed the special parliamentary session had been deferred.

The petition calls for an urgent audit of expenditures over the last three years regarding the seven ministers and accuses them of mishandling public funds and property.
