A male patient at Samoa's Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital was last week taken into police custody for smoking cannabis while hospitalised.
The Samoa Observer said the incident occurred on January 4th, according to another patient at the hospital.
The paper said a guardian with a third patient reported the smoking incident to staff which led to police being contacted and the man taken into police custody.
