They are among 31 officers who were arrested and charged by Port Moresby's police since September.

The chief superintendent of the National Capital District police, Perou N'Dranou, said a taskforce established to clean up the trouble-plagued force last year had hit the ground running.

He told the Post Courier more arrests are likely this year, and they've already noticed a drop in officers involved in illegal activities.
