Pacific Oceania are staring down relegation in the Fed Cup tennis competition after being swept 3-0 by Indonesia in their second pool match in Kazakhstan.
The composite side are competing in Asia/Oceania Zone Group One for the first time since 2001, after winning promotion last year.
Papua New Guinea's Violet Apisah lost the opening singles rubber 6-4 6-2 against Aldila Sutjiadi.
Abigail Tere Apisah forced the final singles rubber to a deciding set but was eventually beaten 4-6 6-2 4-6 by Beatrice Gumulya, who is ranked almost 300 places below the Papua New Guinean.
She combined with Samoa's Steffi Carruthers for the doubles dead rubber but the pairing were no match for Deria Nur Hakliza and Jessy Rompies, going down 6-4 6-4.

The teams that finish third in Pools A and B will play-off against each other to determine which team will be relegated to Group Two in 2020.
Pacific Oceania, who lost their opening match against China 3-0, are currently fourth and bottom of Pool B and must sweep South Korea in their final group match to have any hope of avoiding automatic relegation.
