The 28-year-old is preparing to lead the team at tournaments in Las Vegas and Vancouver next month after courts in Fiji granted him bail.

Nasoko was arrested two weeks ago after failing a roadside breathalyser test near Nadi.

His blood alcohol concentration of 0.027 percent was in excess of the legal limit for his provisional driver's license.

Nasoko has acknowledged in a statement, "the disappointment he has caused to the people he proudly represents" and said he humbly apologises to all concerned.

"I made a mistake in making the assumption that I was fully recovered when I decided to drive my vehicle that morning, and I acknowledge that error of judgement and am regretful for the decision I made," said Kalione Nasoko.
