Former Papua New Guinea Football Association president David Chung has been banned from all soccer-related activities by FIFA for six-and-a-half years for offering and accepting gifts as well as conflict of interest.
In a statement released on Friday, football's world governing body said the Malaysia-born Chung was "guilty of having offered and accepted gifts, as well as having acted under a conflict of interest, in violation of the FIFA Code of Ethics.

The investigation against the former FIFA vice president was opened on 3 May 2018, less than a month after he resigned as president of the Oceania Football Confederation, after an audit by FIFA identified potential fraud in plans for new OFC headquarters in Auckland.
"The adjudicatory chamber found that Mr Chung had breached article 20 (Offering and accepting gifts or other benefits) and article 19 (Conflicts of interest) of the 2018 edition of the FIFA Code of Ethics and banned him for six years and six months from all football-related activities (administrative, sports or any other) at both national and international level."
Along with the ban, which comes into immediate effect, Chung was also fined US$100,000.
