More than 500 houses and businesses and many domestic animals were destroyed in tribal violence in Papua New Guinea's Western Highlands last Friday.
The attacks were over a long disputed coffee plantation in the Dei district.
Members of the Rologka and Kimba tribes clashed initially on Thursday afternoon when one Rologka man was allegedly shot dead.
A raid on the Rologka community then happened early on Friday.
The Post Courier reports the attack was related to the ongoing Gumanch coffee plantation controversy.
The two tribes, along with the Ramdi, the Kilgepela and the Delka have contested ownership of the site.
