In Vanuatu, a former chairman of Anabrou French Primary School in Port Vila has been arrested for the alleged theft of $US3,539 of school funds.

The Daily Post reported the man, who is on bail, cashed a cheque he had signed off.
The missing cheque came to the notice of the school's headmaster leading to the arrest of the former chairman.
He will be tried next month.
